Private chef
What does a private chef from Indulge Chefs do?
A private chef from Indulge Chefs plans a menu around your table, shops for it, cooks it in your kitchen, serves it, and leaves the kitchen clean. You host; we handle the food from first conversation to final plate. It works for an intimate dinner for two, a dinner party with friends, or a full weekend of meals for a house full of guests.
Can we book a private chef for a whole weekend or a full week?
Yes. Private chef bookings can cover one night, a weekend, or a full week, with breakfast, lunch and dinner planned around your schedule. Tell us how many days, how many guests, and which meals you need in your inquiry, and we will build the plan and the menus around it.
Do you offer weekly private chef meal service?
Yes. Weekly service means a chef cooks for your household on a regular schedule, with menus planned around your family's tastes, routines and dietary needs. Meals can be served fresh or prepared to enjoy through the week. Share how many people you are feeding and how often in your inquiry, and we will be in touch to plan it.
What is included with a private chef?
Shopping, chef labor, transportation and cleanup are included. Your chef arrives with fresh ingredients about two hours before your guests to prep and cook, serves each course, and leaves your kitchen clean. Servers, bartenders, flowers and party rentals can be added for larger events. Please email for pricing and availability.
Events and weddings
How many guests can Indulge Chefs cater for?
We cater events from six guests to three thousand. A dinner for six and a gala for thousands are planned differently, so tell us your guest count, venue and the style of service you have in mind, whether seated dinner, family style, stations or passed bites, and we will shape the menu and the team around it.
Do you cater weddings?
Yes. We cater weddings and the events around them, from the rehearsal dinner to the morning-after brunch. Chef Michael Giletto writes the menu with you and Event Director Dominique Donofrio plans and directs the day with your venue and planner, so the food and the timeline work together.
Can you cater at our home, rental or venue?
Yes. We cook in private homes, rental houses, estates and event venues. For larger events we plan the kitchen setup with your venue in advance. Share the address or venue name in your inquiry and we will be in touch with any questions about the space.
Working with us
Where does Indulge Chefs serve?
Indulge Chefs cooks in The Hamptons, New York City, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Aspen and Denver, Napa and Santa Barbara, Litchfield County and Berkshire County, and across Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and travels for events nationwide. If your event is somewhere else, send an inquiry with the location, date and guest count and we will tell you what is possible.
Can you accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions?
Yes. Every menu is written for the people at the table, so allergies, intolerances and preferences such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or kosher-style are planned in from the start. List every guest's needs in your inquiry, and we will confirm the menu with you before the event.
How far in advance should we book?
Inquire as soon as you know your date. Summer weekends in The Hamptons, holidays and wedding season fill first, and larger events need more planning time. Send your date even if it is still tentative, and we will confirm availability when we reply.
What happens after I send an inquiry?
Your inquiry goes straight to Michael and Dominique. We will be in touch to talk through your date, guests, menu ideas and the kind of evening you want, then follow up with a proposal for your event. You will also receive an email confirming we have your inquiry.
Is there an Indulge Chefs app?
Yes. Indulge Private Chefs is the Indulge app for iPhone. It lets you browse private chefs vetted by Indulge across the US, see their menus and day rates, and book and pay in the app. For events, weddings and dinners with Michael and Dominique themselves, send an inquiry through this site instead.
For chefs
How do chefs join Indulge?
Chefs join Indulge by applying through the Indulge Private Chefs app on iPhone. The application asks about your culinary training, the cuisines you cook at a professional level and your experience, and the Indulge team reviews every application before a chef can take bookings. Approved chefs build a profile with menus and photos that clients see in the app.
