Before you download
Is this the same as sending an inquiry?
No. The app books independent chefs vetted by Indulge, anywhere in the US. The inquiry form is for events, weddings, multi-day stays and anything you want Michael and Dominique to plan and cook themselves.
Who sets the price?
Each chef publishes a day rate on their showcase and quotes your menu from it. You see the price before you approve anything.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet. Indulge Private Chefs is on iPhone today. Leave your email under Download and we will send one note when the Android app is live.
What if something goes wrong?
Message the Indulge team from inside the app. Every booking is reviewed by a person before it is confirmed.

Build your showcase
Photos, a bio, your credentials, your service area and the day rate you set. Reusable menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner live in Manage Menus and load into any booking.

Accept the bookings you want, then design the menus
Accept or decline each request. Load a saved menu or write one for the client to approve. Indulge management approves the booking, and you invoice from it.

Get paid through the app
Pay-outs go to your account through Stripe after the client pays the invoice. Add out-of-state travel if you want to cook beyond your home market.

A person approves every showcase and every booking
Indulge reviews your onboarding, approves your showcase, approves each booking before the invoice and closes it after the event. The fee is the same for both sides and stated before you accept.

How long does approval take?
The Indulge team reviews applications and showcases by hand. You will hear back in the app once yours is reviewed.
Who sets my price?
You do. Your day rate is on your showcase, and you quote each menu yourself.
Do I need insurance?
You confirm your insurer, policy and expiry when you apply. Indulge checks it before you can take bookings.
What does the Institute add?
The Indulge Institute is the online course on building a private chef career, from how Indulge plans menus and works with clients. It is separate from the app and optional.
